Female Funding Fair – Roundtable: Spotlight on Women Investing in Women
There is an urgent need to address funding for women-led businesses. Pitchbook statistics show that 3% of funding goes to female founders; 7% of investors are women; and women raise 50% less in equity capital on average. The question facing us all is what actions can be taken to address this problem? Many have suggested that more female investors could make a difference.
This roundtable features female investors all experienced in investing in women-led businesses. We will discuss their reason for focusing on women, the challenges they see in this space and hear about their investment success. It will provide a valuable forum for founders, investors and corporates to understand more about gender-lens investing and how investing in women can be a positive financial investment.
